Re: Buck Pierce Commercial
I assumed it would be a commercial about his bar or is it restaurant? The first one's pretty funny. I don't have a TV so never would have seen it but for the post. Thx

Re: Negotiating Rights question?
https://cfldb.ca/faq/rosters/ There is a section on negotiating lists at that URL. My take after reading it is that if a Tim Tebow type wanted to try the CFL, his agent would find that he is on the MTL list. The agent would then request a contract offer from MTL. If he did not receive a fair contrac...

Re: Standings as of 20150922
Yes, SK seems to have good offensive stats with or without their number 1 QB. Wonder who the offensive coordinator is? Yuk-yuk! And no, I don't regret his departure.

Re: Ottawa RedBlacks
I thought the expansion draft was very reasonable to the RedBlacks. It gave them the chance to start building their O-line and D-line. From there, they've made a lot of good moves, including improving the receiving corps this year. Re: Ernest Jackson, he was coming along last year without doubt, but...

Re: Standings as of 20150922
Don't agree that SK is all that much better than their record. This is not a few more losses than wins. It's 1 and 11. That's some pretty serious losing. My recollection (which may be wrong) is that SK started 8 Canadians in the Grey Cup a few years back. At least one or two retired, plus giving Sho...

Re: Lions land hard-rock LB Rennie Curran
The end of our pursuit of Henoc Muamba? Actually, he appears to be trying to get back in the NFL with the Packers right now. The Lions LB corps is one of their strengths even without Elimimian. At least, it looked that way till the Calgary game. I thought Elimimian was really missed in that game. If...

Re: Lions @ Stampeders -- Post Game Stats and Comments
Really enjoyed the game regardless of the loss. Pretty good effort against a good football team. I guess you wouldn't accept good effort if they lost too many times, but at least there were a number of positives. You couldn't say that a while ago. Chris Rainey was terrific again. Great pick-up. Jenn...

Re: Lions Are a Team in Peril As We Face Calgary and Edmonto
Concerning bringing in guys not on NFL rosters right now, I think the learning curve might be a bit much for many positions. That would make it slightly counter-productive to bring them in for anything other than a look-see for next year's camp. Defensive linemen are different, however. I believe th...

Re: Province Article Today by Susan Lazaruk
Skipped the article, but this is a regular argument (literally) on 1040am every time Perry Solkowski is on. If the discussion was whether there is a good chance soccer will surpass the CFL one day, you gotta think this is a real possibility. An awful lot of people play soccer and an awful lot of new...

Re: Lions Are a Team in Peril As We Face Calgary and Edmonto
As bad as the Lions are, I could see them going 2-2 in the next four games. Even though Wpg beat the Lions last time out (I think), I've watched them since and they are pretty beatable. To me, they look sloppy with or without Nichols at QB. The Lions, Bombers and SK appear to be the worst teams in t...

Re: Will Andrew Harris Be Back Next Season
I forgot about that restaurant thing. Plus, the guy's been in BC prior to playing for the Lions (with the jr team on the island). I would like to see Andrew Harris stay myself. Still don't believe you need to have a CDN backing up a CDN starter the way the Lions seem to do it. Harris comes out for J...

Re: B.C. Lions at Calgary Sept. 18
Interesting changes. Not sure why you keep a Cody Husband on the one game injury list for 2 years if he can't play, so looking to see what he can do. Also interested to see what a first round draft pick looks like when one is on the field. The McGhee may get a series comment is news. No Jennings? Re...

Re: Will Andrew Harris Be Back Next Season
Travis Lulay hands off to Andrew Harris, he rips one for fifteen yards and it's another first down for the Bombers. I think Harris is one of those Winnipeggers you meet who actually would like to go back there, no? I don't see ratios as the issue some coaches seem to. You have 2 RB's, one CDN, one I...

Re: RedBlacks @ Lions -- Post Game Stats and Comments
Yes, that is good news about Draheim coming back. My understanding is that Bo Lokombo will take Hoffman-Ellis's spot, and they'll simply move Aladanoye over to play beside Olafioye. Make the right side of the line a 'Fioye Bros' sort of thing. The addition of a fourth American on the line can only m...

Does David Braley ask Wally to coach?
It is a Wally-made problem, it being the titanic-like disaster that is the BC Lions. A long time in the making as noted in other threads. However, David Braley is trying to sell the team and the current state of the team could not be helping. I'm wondering if the owner will ask for a significant cha...
