I disagree about Wally being gone with Ackles still here, Ackles however would have changed some of Wally's moves along the way that would have helped him. However that isn't the case Bob is gone and Wally has to stand alone for what this team is, and it really isn't about the talent, all about the execution that the Lions can never seem to be able to find.

Leaves the motivation to the players themselves.

Shaky personnel decisions.
