The CFL will announce tomorrow that Travis Lulay will represent the West as the Most Outstanding Player, Olafioye will be the Western nominee for Top Offensive Lineman and Paul McCallum will be the West's Special Team Player of the year.
Lulay will have a tough competition with Cavillo, a sentimental favorite. Cavillo's stats may be better overeall in many categories but Lualy finished the season strong while Cavillo slid. I actually believe Jamal Richardson was the CFL's most outstanding player this season. Hopefully Lulay's strong finish and convincing win over Montreal last week will give him enough to edge Cavillo.
Olafioye didn't give up a sack for the entire season and should have a great chance while McCallum, I believe is a shoe in for Special Teams Player.
Three Leos will be Western Nominees

Hmm, he more then likely wants to go play some golf rather then attend the awards ceremony...
Chad Owens did have a huge season, again, for a poor Argos team, Jerrell Freeman had a fabulous season for a bad Riders team and probably had a better season then Sol-E.
Travis Lulay though, first yr as the full time starter, was simply as good a Calvillo, IDK if he can win the award but do think if did, he will have earned it.
As for Jovan, not a single sack, in this league? That is amazing really, did not know he was having that great of a season for us.

Which should give you every indication of how award worthy he is.joe kapp22 wrote:As for Jovan, not a single sack, in this league? That is amazing really, did not know he was having that great of a season for us.

I'm a bit stunned that Jovon Johnson won the MODP award.
Congrats to Travis and Paul McCallum!

I'm surprise that Olafioye didn't win.jcalhoun wrote:Josh Bourke is the CFL's Top Lineman, beating our boy, Jovon Olafioye.
