Re: If Trump was on Lionbackers
Bloody hell. This ongoing Canadian obsession with Donald Trump is pathetic. I guess his larger-than-life American persona rubs the tender sensibilities of most Canadians the wrong way. C'est la vie. Oh, sorry, I forgot. Just like Trump most of the people in Canada are not so cosmopolitan that they a...

Re: TSN CFL Fantasy!
Points have really been at a premium this year. It took 100 points to have an excellent week in 2019; this year 85 will do.

Re: Tudor Electric Football...
I played the Eagle Canadian Football game at a friend's house in 1964(?): http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Balticprince/General%20Album%203/General%20Album%203001/Eagle-EF-1963-iW_zpspczxqos7.jpg I quickly learned that the back fielders were stronger players and could be used to turn aside t...

R.I.P. Rod Gilbert (1 July 1941 - 19 August 2021)
Rod Gilbert a.k.a. Mr. Ranger passed away late last week. Born in Montréal, Gilbert joined New York Rangers' farm team Guelph Biltmore Mad Hatters in the OHA Jr. A League for the 1957-58 season. His career almost never went beyond the junior ranks though as in his final year with Guelph he slipped o...

R.I.P. Charlie Watts (2 June 1941 - 24 August 2021)
Born in London, England, Charlie Watts learned to drum by playing along to jazz records. In 1961 he joined Alexis Korner's Blues Incorporated which performed regularly in London's rhythm & blues clubs. As such he was already a well established and highly regarded drummer when he first met aspiri...

Legendary Chicago Blackhawk goaltender Tony Esposito passed away from pancreatic cancer earlier this month. Tony Esposito was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and was the younger brother of fellow NHL legend Phil. He broke into the NHL with the Montréal Canadiens in 1968-69 but played only thirteen...

Re: O'Shea and the Bombers are screwed
hindsight 20/20, but the Lions have screwed this up really badly the first 2 weeks Not the Lions. Uninformed bettors who haven't done their homework. Reilly was listed as questionable and his participation was a game-time decision both weeks. The head coach made that clear every day. Don't overlook...

Re: TSN CFL Fantasy!
God damn it all to hell! All the talk this week was about Nathan Rourke starting. And just yesterday morning the Lions posted a depth chart with Rourke as the starter. I'm now furious at both the Lions and the fact that I dozed off in the armchair and turned on the radio too late to modify my roster...

Re: TSN CFL Fantasy!
Interesting that there's been a determined promotional push for the Pick'Em game on the CFL site this year but relatively little for Fantasy. Back in 2017-18 TSN and CFL promoted Fantasy quite heavily but this year it's Pick'Em that's gotten the push.

Re: B.C. at Calgary Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021
With a short practice week before a Thursday game, the Lions appear to have stopped the QB guessing game and are planning to start Nathan Rourke in Thursday's game in Calgary. That's a good call. The Lions aren't fooling anyone by pretending Michael Reilly will be ready to play on game day after no...

Re: PAID MY DUES TIME AFTER TIME - LEOS NEW 2021 OFFENCE
PAID MY DUES, TIME AFTER TIME – LEOS NEW 2021 OFFENCE The notion that football had changed a hell of a lot from the time Vince Lombardi coached football and he should change with it, never entered Buono’s head (and Lombardi’s offence was actually innovative for its time). Vince Lombardi? Who's he? ...

Re: B.C. at Saskatchewan Aug. 6, 2021
Interesting as well that the Lions are going with James Butler at RB for the game against the Roughriders on Friday instead of the highly touted Shaq Cooper.
