It was clear that on both sides of the ball, the Bombers learned from the Lions beatdown of them earlier what's always there in a game - win or lose - a few key lessons. Even teams that win big must heed the lessons from a game.Hambone wrote: ↑Tue Aug 08, 2023 12:23 pmInteresting 3D article on Winnipeg's dominance on Thursday, in particular their deep aerial attack. As an armchair QB I really appreciate this stuff and how it breaks down the plays, reads, preparation and execution necessary to have such success.

I hope some of the Lions read that 3D article.Hambone wrote: ↑Tue Aug 08, 2023 12:23 pmInteresting 3D article on Winnipeg's dominance on Thursday, in particular their deep aerial attack. During the drubbing, I kept thinking, I guess the Lions will have some great game film to study prior to the next game with the Bombers. Actually it looks like the Bombers wrote the book for all the CFL to see on how to beat this Ryan Philips D....adjustments and different looks to come???

Thanks Hambone for the link. Like you, I can devour this stuff all day, This is some fantastic work by Ben Grant and something that certainly lacks in mainstream media that don't have the time or knowledge to break down game film. It means head coaches and coordinators can get off easy in post-game interviews rather than asking why adjustments weren't made when your opponent is recognizing your substitutions and tendencies so well.
It sets up an intriguing rubber match in October but I'm sure the Stamps, Riders and others have taken notice as well.
