Rookie receiver Auden Eberhardt draws into the lineup Saturday against Edmonton with Lucky Whitehead nursing a hamstring injury. Eberhardt can also return kicks. I hope the Lions take the opportunity to get Terry Williams more involved in the offence, knowing Eberhardt can spell him off as a returner.

Lucky being injured is becoming an all too familiar theme. Hopefully this is more about taking a cautionary approach with a short turnaround before playing in Winnipeg next Thursday.
Factor in Rourke, Butler, Burnham departures and Hatcher also being injured, that's a lot of missing pieces from the two blowout wins over the Elks at home last year.

The Lions' depth chart lists Ayden Eberhardt at field WR. Alex Hollins moves to boundary WR, where he will likely get more targets as a replacement the injured Lucky Whitehead (hamstring).

We’re playing 8 cdns anyways, so it doesnt matter we have that flexibility.
If we were at 7, As long rhymes is on the field, Williams can play for a cdn receiver. As long as Baron is on field, either Parker/woods/siddiq can play for cdn. At 8, we can do that anyways.
It will matter more when Hatcher and whitehead are back and we go back to 7 cdns, we can effective go down to 6 if needed with this rule. We will get injuries to cdn starters during the season.
