The Lions’ injury toll is rising as they head into the playoff drive. Lucky Whitehead, Obum Gwacham, David Mackie and Adrian Greene have all been ruled out for Saturday’s game in Toronto but Manny Rugamba and Josh Banks, who both left last week’s game against Ottawa in the first half, were full participants in the final practice of the week Thursday and will likely be good to go. Matt Baker mentioned Wednesday that an American receiver will likely make his Lions’ debut to replace Whitehead, but I don’t know who that will be.

Alexander Hollins is the rookie American WR who will be replacing Lucky Whitehead.

The debut of Alexander Hollins at Lucky Whitehead's WR position is the only change in the Lions' starting lineup this week. Noah Zerr is added to the roster as a backup O-lineman, taking the roster spot of injured DB Adrian Greene.

Kick off at 4ET/1PT, same time as game 2 of the Jays/Mariners series. This has the potential to set the record for lowest in person attendance and lowest TV ratings. Thanks to a CFL double header rescheduling the game is not an option.

Yikes! Let’s hope Hollins is a significant upgrade on Petermann as the offence really bogged down in the 2nd half after Whitehead got hurt.
But minus 2 starting receivers, never mind no Rourke, on the road is going to be a very tall order.

Hollins has had a half a cup of coffee in the NFL and is likely an upgrade over Petermann, how significant will be determined by how many times Adams goes to him.

Hollins is 6-0, 175 lbs. He's not quite as fast as Lucky Whitehead (who ran a 4.39 40 at his pro day), but has decent speed (4.49). He had a stellar college career at Eastern Illinois and suited up for four games with the Minnesota Vikings.

Weather sounding like it will be a factor today. Game time temperature of 11C with overcast skies and gusts up to 40 km/h

Be nice to see some packages on O for Williams. Ottawa used him a few times and he looked quite good .

Updated forecast. 30 km/h winds with gusts up to 50. We better have a running game today. Would be nice to see Butler and Anderson both on the field in some series.

Any receiver's impact is determined by the QB's willingness to target him, no ???

Petermann is viewed as a back-up, with at least some CFL experience on his resume (ran the fastest time at the CFL 2018 Combine (4.54) and put up other excellent testing #s - 39" vertical; 10'4" broad jump; 16 bench reps); would have liked to have seen Petermann get to play while Rourke was in.

Hollins - with zero Canadian ball experience - is presumed better because of his passport, and hopefully that was backed-up by play in practice and will pay-off during a game.

Woody Baron has been a good addition to the DL. He comes up with a key sack to take the Argos out of field goal range.
