Winnipeg dominated time of possession as they did against B.C. despite not being able to establish a running game against the Stamps. Zach Collaros impresses me more every week. He completed 71% of his passes, often under pressure, for 315 yards with 2 TDs and no interceptions. Bo Levi Mitchell was just 12 of 28 for 187 yards. Kamar Jorden had one of the worst games of his career with just one catch in 7 targets. Most of the others were blatant drive-killing drops, including the potential game-tying touchdown, which popped out of his hands in the end zone for a game-clinching interception by Demerio Houston in the final minute.

After getting essentially zero production out of Brendan O'Leary Orange as Nic Demski's replacement the last 2 games against Toronto and BC (1 catch for zero yards), the Bombers decided to go down to 7 starting nationals and unleashed 6-foot-6 Carlton Agudosi who made an immediate impact with 2 TDs. Will be interesting to see what they do when Demski returns and all-star safety Brandon Alexander makes his season debut. Bailey should be looking over his shoulder.

You're right BC FAN. Collaros has been exceptional the past couple of weeks. Plays with such composure. And Willie Jefferson is a generational talent at DE. At 6-foot-7 he is so disruptive, regardless of how many sacks and tackles he produces. Unfortunately the Lions know this all too well.

A late interception for a TD puts the Argos in front of the Riders, and another one puts it away. Is that the first win for East over West this season?

For the second straight game, Boris Bede of the Argos missed a game-tying kick in the dying minutes on Saturday but Wynton McManus followed with a game-winning pick-6 off Cody Fajardo two plays later as Toronto helped the Lions and other West Division teams by beating Saskatchewan 30-24 in Wolfville, N.S.

A massive choke job by Montreal at home on Thursday allowed Edmonton to overcome a 19-point second-half deficit and defeat the Als 32-31 to move within 2 points of the fourth place Lions in the ultra-competitive West Division. Danny Maciocia should fire himself as head coach after the undisciplined Als turned the ball over 3 times to set up 16 Edmonton points and took a whopping 13 penalties for 193 yards. Montreal DB Will Sutton set up 3 Edmonton touchdowns, including the game winner in the fourth quarter, with lazy pass interference penalties. East Division teams are now a combined 2-14. At least the crossover is available for the fourth place team in the West.
LOL You got that right but let's face it. It was never really about discipline that got Jones fired. He's got a lot of potential now as of today with Hamilton as an advisor but first he best learn or he'll be joining LaPo and Mike Benevides as permanent failures as HCs. Dinnwiddies another on dangerous ground. These folks don't realize what a HC in football does! Danny Maciocia is now not grasping what a GM role is.. He'll pay for that.

The games this week were all entertaining especially the bombers- Stamps and the Riders- Argos. Every play counted as was said by a TSN panel member in the bombers game but it was true for Riders Argos.

Great viewing games for CFL fans but tough if your team lost.

The difference between the two clubs was the quarterbacking, which is not to blame BLM, he had some receivers like Jorden drop some key passes.

What impressed me was Calgary's Oline. They greatly neutralized Winnipeg's front 7 (yes, they had 3 sacks on BLM but they're going to do that. They're that good). They created gaping holes for Ka'Deem Carey, and I thought Bighill was largely ineffective, aside from the tackle around the neck for which he, inexplicably, escaped penalty.

Calgary's Dline too, had decent pressure on Collaros, forcing him to use his feet (when did he become the league's best 'escape artist' anyhow?).

Thursday
Montreal 40 at Ottawa 33
Hamilton 12 at BC 17
Friday
Winnipeg 24 at Edmonton 10
Sunday
Toronto 31 at Saskatchewan 21

A rare Thursday night doubleheader with the RedBlacks playing their 2nd straight Thursday home game. We should consider ourselves lucky.
Lions could win 45-10 and the jury will still be out on how good this team is until they see the Stamps and Riders. That will happen in 4 of their 5 next games after Thursday with 3 of them on the road.

Can the Argos do Western teams another big favour on Sunday?

I can't see how moving the game by 1 day will have any positive (no pun intended) effect on the Rider's chances. As of today they had 6 players officially out because of illness and another 5 listed as questionable because of illness. Even if that extra day means those 5 will test negative by game time it doesn't mean they will be healthy enough to play. Certainly not at full speed. I tested positive on July 3 and I only started feeling close to normal in the last few days. Granted I am not an elite athlete, but it's all relative.

Should be an easy 2 points for the Argos :cr:

Carter was returning kicks as well as playing DB. He got an int so I guess there is no denying he made an impact.

Why did Edmonton change back to Elks from Eskimos?
