The home-field advantage against West rivals could help the Lions in the playoff race. I'd be happy to have fewer home games against Hamilton, Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto in a normal year if it meant extra home games against Saskatchewan or other West rivals. The East Division teams are poor draws.
I admit I didn't even look at the 2021 schedule that was released in November--I was so convinced (correctly, as it turns out) it was never gonna happen. From what I can see from B.C.FAN's comment, OTT has replaced MTL as the only East club we play twice.
How is the CFL competing with the NFL? There is ONE Sunday game scheduled for the entire season, and that is on August 29 before the NFL regular season begins.
