As Smythe Division rivals, the Canucks had several rivalries in the early 1990's with Winnipeg, starting from a playoff spot in 1991, to the Smythe Division semi-finals in 1992 and 1993 which the Canucks eventually won but the Winnipeg Jets put on a huge fight.

Congratulations to Winnipeg in getting another NHL team. Let this be a lesson to Atlanta that after losing an NHL for the second time, that is certainly not a city to home a pro hockey team.
It would be good if this painting would be re-assembled and placed in MTS Centre.
And I wonder if the Winnipeg's team will acknowledge their former reincarnated greats. Unlike the Avalanche for the Nordiques but like the Coyotes for the first Jets, they acknowledge retired before the move:
