Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

I never actually bought into that either. Who took the time and trouble to go throughout the world taking pictures of every single snow flake, and then put them in a database so that they could be compared for doubles???AC/DC Rocks wrote:just like how can no snowflake be the exact same

we are talking about microscopic differences, but I know what you mean, you would think eventually there would be a match.

Finger prints for twins aren't the same. Characteristics can be the same though. Just think about how things would have to align to be identical, that would be even weirder.AC/DC Rocks wrote:just like how can no snowflake be the exact same

As for snowflakes, they are three dimensional, and I would think that it would be even harder to have the exact same size and pattern than finger prints.
