Anyone have the big slurpee mug Geroy is holding on the Lions web page. Its an advertisement for 7/11 selling single Lion tix. Thnx BB

"Lions fans who purchase value-priced tickets in the 7-Eleven Zone also have an opportunity to get a free limited edition Geroy Simon Slurpee mug courtesy of 7-Eleven! A select number of mugs will be randomly distributed during each home game. Available exclusively as a giveaway in the 7-Eleven Zone at Lions home games, the 52 oz. mug can be refilled for just $1.09 (plus tax) at 7-Eleven Lower Mainland locations"

Doesn't say whether you can just go in and buy one.

Thnx Karen. I checked with a few stores on the North Shore. Nada. Ill have to scope out the 7/11 Zone this Friday. BB

You can buy a baseball-themed 52 oz. slurpee cup at 7-11, but not the Geroy one.

Btw after tax the re-fill is $1.14. A good deal.

Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

But not that Lions Lager or whatever it 's called. GIB has Lions Winter Ale but it doesn't generally come out until the offseason. How about Hells Gate Pale Ale or Thirsty Beaver Amber from Tree Brewing?

Unfortunately even after the BC Lions promotion, it's not Vancouver but Winnipeg that has been crowned Slurpee capital of the world.
