Yep I am going on record and saying that the LOSER of today's game will be playing in the Grey Cup this year.

The loser will be crossing over to the East and with how pitiful the East is, the Western loser will be going to the Grey Cup game.

What is interesting is that it could conceivably be a Grey Cup match between the Eskies and the Stamps. A battle for Alberta for the Grey Cup in Montreal. Probably NOT what the CFL really wants. But right now, I think it is a high percentage chance it may come to pass.

I disagree. Montreal is a damn good team this year, and unless the Riders or the Leos go East, the Als have a great chance of making it to the Grey Cup

At home the Als are 7-1. Away they are 4-4. Against the East Division they are 8-1. Against the West they are 3-4. The three wins against the West were against BC in Montreal (remember the goal line stance?); Sask in Montreal; and Edmonton in Montreal.

A precursor to the Eastern final might be next week when Montreal plays for Edmonton with nothing on the line for either team.

Also remember that the Als played Hamilton 4 times (Montreal lost once) and Toronto 3 times (won all 3).

I think Montreal is a good team, but they also benefit from playing against the other Eastern teams.

I would have thought Edmonton would have at least put up a bit of a battle. What a shellacking.

3rd or 4th? They knew which was the better call and they made sure of the placement.

Note: It's better to view "in high quality" mode (and expanded view if you want) as I don't have that great of a zoom on my camera.

I think that you are really underestimating the Als, LFITQ. There is little chance IMO that Edmonton, with that horrible defence, is going to knock off the Als if they manage to get past that lousy Winnipeg team (which isn't even a sure thing). I know that the Esks beat you guys in Vancouver a couple of weeks back but I can't see the Esks repeating that kind of performance again this season. November 15th in Montreal will kick off a huge week-long celebration for Als fans in Montreal (leading up to the Grey Cup game - I am not saying who I think will win that game just yet).

I'm hoping you'll be posting your odds for the Esks going to the Grey Cup. After that beatdown and their pathetic play of late, I'm wondering if they even get out of Winnipeg.

Anyways, let us know, as I have a few bucks available to throw on the Esks NOT making it to the big dance
I'd love you to say it to my face because you'd only say it once...if you ever had the courage to say it at all!! Blitz, 05/24/2008

And to play devil's advocate the Eskimos were 1-3 on the road against those weak Eastern teams with their lone victory being a 4th quarter come-from-behind effort against the then 1-3 Ti-Cats back in Week 5. The Eskimos finished with a 3-6 road record so one would assume having to win two in a row on the road to make it to the Grey Cup is at best a longshot.

During Sundays Als vs Bombers game, the TSN broadcast crew intimated that maybe Esks hearts were not in the Saturday game against Riders as they were contemplating the crossover.
