OK, just for some fun...

Let's see how many football/playoff/Grey Cup/other relevant sports clichés y'all know!

We are taking it one game at a time.

"we left it all out on the field"

I shudder to think what some of them mean by "it"!

This was a team effort.

"There's no such thing as an easy win" <---- yeah? Ok, so what WOULD you call a 70 - 0 win?

"I tell ya, both teams came out to play today" <---- no, really? You mean one team didn't just come to do the pooch?

"We never take any opponent lightly. Even if they do have a losing record" <--- I think that's a Canucks' mantra after constantly loosing to bottom-feeder teams

"It's never over, 'til it's over" <---- one of my all time favourite statements of the obvious.

"he wears his heart on his sleeve" <---- wouldn't they be dead if that's the case?

"I think the keys to winning today's game were a good game plan, and good execution" <--- No?!?! As opposed to what, no game plan and p-poor execution?!?

"We just have to take it one game at a time." - Well, unless you're in baseball, on a triple-header weekend...

Just had a thought about the "trenches" one too... if Commonwealth had proper drainage trenches, maybe the field wouldn't have been so wet the last time we played there...
