Unless the event was cancelled. Several outdoor events were cancelled on Thursday because it was freezing in Toronto, so I don't know if this outdoor event on Saturday was also cancelled.
Actually many of the events outdoors were jsut moved indoors (this is a huge convention centre!) and the Cheerleader Extravaganza was one of them. It was great!

Felions new shoes were a big hit with all the fans I spoke to who were watching. Would like to see them use those fulltime and ditch the boots completely! Nick Hebeler would be proud.

Pics will come after I get home (Wednesday night). Let's just say all the cheer teams did another fantastic job and our very own Felions represented well!! :rockin:

I was there, along side Q, being shutterbugs, in addition to some other non-Felion shooting that I did. Among the other shots that I've got, are the Riders team doing some throws in the main corridor of the South Building (where the majority of the indoor events were held.

They combined the Cheerleader Extravaganza with the Double Blue Bash, which was in the same room as Molson Party Series.

Reviving this thread because of a good, recent article about the old Miss Grey Cup pageant that lasted from 1951 - 1991. It was discriminatory in that to be eligible, women had to be between 18 and 24, and the Miss portion of the title was literal: The married, divorced or widowed did not make the cut.

And unlike other beauty contests in which the winner's big prize is a crown, in this case the main prize is a relatively large trophy. That was the first time I've seen a trophy being awarded for a beauty contest winner.
