WOW!! What a great finish! How can you not LOVE that!!
Congrats to Kevin Harvick and RCR for having 2 of the top 3 finishers, and to Team Chevy for having 4 of the top 5 finishers. Thank God that Clint Bowyer, who crossed the finish line on his roof and on fire was OK. Congrats to Mark Martin for a great run. Awesome day here!

 but the difference between the two is that something different happens during every play and all the fans aren?t going just cuz they might see a car crash.Watching 24 guys fall on a piece of pigskin 60 times in a row.

A lot can happen on every lap BESIDES crashes, but someone who's not into racing doesn't recognize or appreciate that. Likewise, to someone who's not into football, it's just a bunch of big guys scrambling around for a few seconds, followed by a few minutes of standing around, before scrambling again for a few more seconds. People who only get excited by the crashes in racing are the same type who only get excited by a touchdown in football and sit bored through everything in between.

I suspect that alot of people attend those races in the hope of seeing a major crashup.

Yeah, well, and a lot of people attend football games hoping to see a lot of TDs. So what?

Something different does happen every lap, and there are some of us who prefer racing to wrecking. I hate wrecking; to me, it destroys the flow of the race, much as fighting does in the NHL.CB123 wrote::lol: but the difference between the two is that something different happens during every play and all the fans aren?t going just cuz they might see a car crash.Watching 24 guys fall on a piece of pigskin 60 times in a row.
Most race fans go to watch racing, not wrecking. Pit strategy is actually where a race is won or lost; Nextel Cup is a team sport, and the pit crews must be tremendously fit to get a 3400 lb Monte Carlo 4 new tires, a suspension change, 22 gallons of gasoline, and still be in and out in 14 seconds.
Try that at home, boys and girls.
Just out of curiosity, how many Nextel Cup events have you been to? Here's is my latest one:
