Calgary twice in the summer, that should make it a possibility. :rockin:

Positives:
4 Saturday home games after Labour Day, all at 7 p.m.

All summer home games start at 7:30 p.m. for easier commuting

Negatives:
Two Thursday home games in summer.

Season-opener in Toronto on a Thursday at 3:30 p.m. What kind of TV audience can we get for that?

While the daggers will be out for the Thursday home games it should be noted one is on the Thursday before the August long weekend which may be better than the alternative of having it on the Friday or Saturday nights of the long weekend.

You can also add that between August 11 and September 15 = 1 home game as a negative. :thdn:

Agreed... more people in town on the Thursday night than the Friday. And if there is anything good about the other Thursday game is it's the Riders one and only visit this season which should help.

Looks like TSN were really pushing these Thursday games with a number of doubleheaders.

Finally.... two home games in the month of September. IMHO... After Labour Day and before the NHL season is the most opportune time for home games.

Quite surprised we are in Calgary and Sask. twice and Edmonton just once given that's exactly what happened last year as well.

I'm glad the Lions are on the road in Edmonton on Oct. 13

REmember when the train of though was to alternate home and away with your Western opponents, now the CFL wants to steal some of the NFL wisdom of having the best teams to play one another and the botom teams to play one another for those extra games. Combine that with the back to backs which IMO end up being split more often than not, and it is all about keeping the teams tighter together in the standings, thus keeping up fan interest.

And a  to the league for an all-division bye week.

Means no advantage for any of the teams and by splitting them up there is no dark weeks during the season either.

Last home game before Halloween: Saturday, October 20.

With that game being 11 days before Halloween, I wonder if everyone will be in their Halloween spirits yet and if the Felions will wear their Halloween costumes again like they did last year.

Looking at the overall schedule, I find it interesting that Calgary has 2 road games in 4 days in July!
