Braidwood and Maurer MFC

Eskimos Braidwood and Maurer were on the undercard of an MFC event. While Braidwood took his match convincingly, with a knockout at 1:54 of the first round, Maurer was on the other end of knockout at the 36 second mark. He was caught with a kick to the head then followed up with a punch and as he hit the mat, several more punches were landed before the fight was stopped. Maurer had the better fight experience than Braidwood, having won his first professionally ranked match, but that may have cost him in this one, as his opponent recognized that he kept his hands down and when he saw that opening he acted upon it.

Rammer, are you sure he just wasn't taking a "timeout"?

I caught some of those highlights on SPac. He usually goes down much faster than that.

Are Braidwood & Maurer still under contract? I would think the Eskimos frown upon this sort of thing, especially after incidents like when the Red Wings discovered Uwe Krupp was racing sled dogs while recovering from a back injury.
