NFL Playoffs Question

How likely is it that the Seahawks will host a playoff game? When will it be determined if they will? How hard do you think it would be to get tickets if they do? The reason I ask is my birthday's in early January and I thought it would be cool to try and see a Seahawks game and do some cross border shopping.
The Seahawks will only be guaranteed a home playoff game if they clinch the NFC West. I'd say they only have a fair chance of doing so because of all their injuries and the fact that the St. Louis Rams are providing some competition for them. It doesn't look like playoff placements will be determined until towards the end of the regular season. If they do host a playoff game, tickets will be extremely difficult to get.

Revisiting this thread, I'd say the Seahawks chances are much better now. With their 8-4 record, they are well ahead of the 5-7 St. Louis Rams and San Francisco 49ers and are in good shape to clinch the NFC West.pinkfreud wrote:How likely is it that the Seahawks will host a playoff game?
Seed 3 hosts seed 6 and seed 4 hosts seed 5. If Seahawks win their division they finish no lower than 4th and will host a wild card game.
Seeds 1 and 2 get first round bye. Seed 1 guaranteed home field advantage through the playoffs, like Seattle last year. Seed 2 guaranteed home field for Divisional Final and possibly Conference Final if seed 1 gets knocked out.

The Seahawks will definitely be hosting a playoff game now. Unfortunately, they won't have a first round bye and if they win their playoff game against the wild card team, they will be on the road for the second round of the playoffs.
Seattle finishes as 4th seed so will be playing # 5 seed. The Conference Final (third round) would be in Seattle if by some crazy scenario # 6 seed should knock off # 1 and advance to the Conference Final.
