Just checked again........Boden is back on the roster so it's back to 46 players.
Farrow will probably show up on the DR in a couple days.
I've got to say, it irks me to no end how the league makes so little effort to keep fans informed........it's ludicrous that I should have to pour over the roster to figure out who is no longer there and then guess what has happened to him.
The 42 Man Roster

The list of transactions on bclion.com and cfl.ca hasn't been updated since Saturday. We know there have been trades and other player moves in the league since then.Shi Zi Mi wrote:I've got to say, it irks me to no end how the league makes so little effort to keep fans informed........it's ludicrous that I should have to pour over the roster to figure out who is no longer there and then guess what has happened to him.
Even the information that was released was misleading. The Lions released more than four players on Saturday to get down to the 46-man roster. Those who were placed on the DR had to be put on waivers first, where they could have been claimed by other teams. The only information that fans were given was the list of four players who were given their outright release.

Here is a very detailed pre-draft scouting report on Cory Rodgers:
http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/2006/rodgers_cory
This is the key to their ratings:

This website really makes the details cut and dried. It loses interest for me. But it does show he was fairly highly rated for the NFL.
He has shown talent and versatility here with the Lions.
It just may be that Obie has done it again: found some gems that fit the CFL game better than they fit the computer-driven models the NFL wants.
Not only Rodgers, but Dennis Mitchell and Derek Wake look very promising too.
Dennis Mitchell was rated highly at free safety (15th of 43). He had the fastest time in the 40 of all at his position. But of course he would be considered too small for the NFL.

Dontcha' love the CFL? The backgrounds of these guys and how they find their way here is so interesting .... Unique talents playing a game perfectly suited to them. The NFL has overall bigger athletes but not better athletes.
And the attack philosophy of the CFL (with the 3 downs, the wide field, the motion, the 12 men, etc) beats the conservative NFL (where great defense neutralizes offense) all to hell.
