I will give the Als credit when I give the Colorado Avalanche credit -- when they have to build a team from the ground up like everybody else, rather than benefiting from the organic growth of having relocated the best team in the league.

The Renegades would probably still be around if they were the Baltimore Stallions.
That was 14 years ago. Give them credit for being able to sustain their success...

What makes you think they've got our playbook?

Clap's missing laptop?
We've been running the same plays the past several seasons.

Because Chap doesn't deem it necessary :thdn:

Same reason why we don't run the screen play

Teams that are already good or have a positive reputation always have it a lot easier in terms of attracting fans ( = money), top players, coaching talent, etc.

It will never cease to be a factor for the Alouettes until they actually have to go through expansion.

It's almost a unanimous decision now to fire Chapdelaine and Benevides.

Any wagers on how many points the Al's can score in the final quarter?

Rudy is on the History Channel right now.

Just sayin'.
Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

Lions have 9 yards rushing after 3 quarters. Great playcalling Chap.

There are so many holes exposed today, finding much money to shore up anything significantly will be hard to find. The secondary is weak, the Linebacking is weak, the D line needs at least on more player to make it a force and of course we need to find some O line players. The question is how much money and what are the priorities?
