most of that was yac yards. Not much down field at all. Better to give it to the receiver who got the most yac yards. I say this even tho Manning is my fav NFL qb

And as I expected, Drew Brees won the actual MVP award. Although Porter with his interception had a great chance, as did Colston with his 7 receptions.

Brees gets the MVP. I'd have to agree. 2 TDs. No interceptions.

Manning was playing catchup, desperation ball, and he couldn't pull it off.

IMO the Saints coaching staff deserves the game ball. Fantastic preparation, especially on defence.

Well I'm just saying that one should not be biased in considering selecting the MVP only from someone with the winning team and disqualifying those from the losing team, which appears to be the case of the NFL, MLB, NBA as that appears to be the case (small exceptions) while it happens more often in the NHL and CFL.

And what I like about the CFL over the NFL is that there are two (previously three) valuable players in the Grey Cup as opposed to just one in the Super Bowl. :thup:

You give yourself far too much credit Robbie. That isn't what you said. You wished that the MVP was from the Colts, even though Brees deserved it. So it isn't about bias, because bias played no role in Brees getting the nod. It was just more navel gazing on your part.

Again - a committment to making sense would be a positive. No more drivel about Luongo getting credit for a loss in a game the Canucks win, followed by lecturing us about baseball stats that I understood when I was 12. No more posts about whether the Riders staffers have been harassed, with full photos attached.

Was there a more boring call to a game ever (not including Black that's just not fair)? The best part of this game was the Who's light show, and Nelson being wrong agian. :tease:

Actually, what I did enjoy about this game was the go for the win that the Saints provided with the statement of the onside kickoff attempt at the beginning of the second half. Wally take note please (should the Lions make the GC in your reign of course).
Entertainment value = an all time low

77 Yards....wow. Inspiring. The stuff legends are made of.

There was only one MVP of the Super Bowl and anyone who actually watched the game knew who it was.

Great game New Orleans, Great game Drew Brees.


Robbie, stick to cheering for Team Sweden and posting pics of trophies and Lions office personnel.
