On a related note, I am not sure if other giveaways are like this, but whats with having to get up and leave at the start of the 4th quarter to go get the lunch box? Talk about crappy timing.
The lunch boxes looked AWESOME! But you are right, quite a procession of kiddies went to get their boxes as the 4th started! I sure hope the Clermont bobblehead isn't like that.

I guess they felt giving out before the game was not good, and then giving out in the end of the game wasn't good either, so they are experimenting with a different time frame.

My vote is for the begining of the game. If I get a vote.

I think there is a giveaway to the first 30,000 on the Sept. 13 game. A 'future shop all-star towel' if I read the ad right! The Clermont bobblehead is the day to show up early, IMO.

This is definitely an afterthought given the fact that the Lions performed poorly but.....did you bother picking a team poster before you left?

Let's talk about the final home game and giveaway: 3,000 Jason Clermont bobbleheads.

I really wonder whether the organizers will change their ways compared to how last year's Geroy Simon bobblehead distribution was done. Originally, they said it was given to the first 3,000 of any age, but then they changed their minds and said it was only give to the 3,000 aged 12 and under. And IIRC, they were given in the form of a voucher when they first entered the stadium, and you could exchange the vouchers for the bobblehead at the end of the game. And a lot of you were steamed over the fact that while they had several more available, the flatly refused to give it to anyone who appeared to over 12.

It's not clear whether the bobbleheads this year will be given to everyone or only to kids, and exactly how the bobbleheads will be distributed, be it at the entrance or using that voucher method again.

Will you make it a point to arrive several hours early to ensure that you get one?

I'm getting there really freaking early. I want that Bobblehead! And they better not pull the stunt they did last year with the 12 and under thing either.

Definitely looks to be the first 3,000 fans regardless of age. It looks identical to the Geroy version yet better as there is no advertiser on it. There will be 35,000-plus there on Saturday yet only the first 3,000 will get them? That's nuts. I wonder if the vendors will be selling them at the game too given how many fans will not be getting them?

I will probably just end up buying it at the lockerroom sale which will be cheaper than having to purchase dinner at the stadium because I had to arrive so early.

A preview of how the Jason Clermont bobblehead looks like.

So better get in early to be one of the first 3,000 fans to get one.

There's another giveaway on Saturday's game as well. Halftime celebrations for Saturday’s tilt include a special Salute to Veterans field presentation produced by Veterans Affairs – Canada Remembers. To mark the occasion, Veterans Affairs and the Vancouver Poppy fund will be giving away Maple Leaf pins to fans upon entrance.
