I was saddened to hear of the passing of an AFL/NFL legend, John Madden.

I never played any of the computer games named after him, but certainly heard him and watched his telestrator many times over the years.

And his Oakland Raiders were a salty bunch of players: Daryle Lamonica, Ken Stabler, George Blanda, Marv Hubbard, Fred Biletnikoff, Cliff Branch, Dave Casper, Gene Upshaw, Art Shell, John Matuszak, Willie Brown, Lester Hayes, Jack Tatum, and so many others.

No doubt he influenced the game of football for many decades. Respect.

For all I have seen and heard, he was really some on to be respected. I too have not played the games but always enjoyed listening to him speak about football stuff.

And sadly now John Madden's Oakland Raiders are gone as well.

:sigh:
Radically Canadian!
