Today, Elks acquired Nick Arbuckle. Since he left Calgary, he has not been able to land a No 1 job and is now with his 3rd team since leaving Calgary. Will he earn the No 1 job in Edmonton? This is a no risk move for Edmonton. Time will tell if he pans out or is a career backup.
This is old news, but will mention here for not much discussion on here about it. Few days ago, Ottawa fired Marcel Desjardins. This was the right move. He was a terrible Gm and ran Ottawa into the ground. It probably means Lapolice will get a 2nd year in Ottawa. Will be interesting who they hire as the new GM.
Minor transactions will not mention here.

With the salary cap for coaches, I think the days of a new GM bringing in his own HC and the new HC hiring his guys as assistants is likely over. Also how many unemployed or under employed HC prospects are there? Not many.

Did the REDBLACKS announce an interm GM? I guess by firing Desjardines now instead of end of the season, it quickens the hiring process for potential candidates who could apply as soon as their team is eliminated.
