Off the top of my head but in no particular order:

Joe Kapp "Peanut Butter Joe" owned this town and led the Lions to their first Grey Cup appearance in 1963 and first victory in 1964.
Javy Glatt Often underappreciated, he had a nose for the ball. His forced fumble on the goal line helped the Lions win the 2006 Grey Cup.
Jason Clermont Lion82, as he was known on this board, was impressive with his sure hands, toughness and excellent character.
Bryan Burnham Longshot earned a roster spot with his great hands, which he shows each week, even in double and triple coverage.
Brent Johnson Ratio-breaking defensive end had a non-stop motor and is the Lions' all-time sack leader.

That's 3 nationals and 2 Americans. I tend to identify with unheralded players who show great heart and character.

You'll always be LION82. We can forgive you for the ending of that 2010 playoff game. If anyone had to break the hearts of Lion fans, I'm glad it was you.

All Time Favorite Lions

1. Ron Morris.

Ron Morris could do it all. He played defensive back, slotback (split end), running back, and punt and kick returner. He could punt too. He was a Leo player from 1963-1965 and a key player for our Leos, due to his versatility, in winning their first Grey Cup championship.

Ron Morris, following his retirement, would become a Leos Assistant Coach, coaching our defensive backfield and our running backs. He served as Interim Head Coach for one game in 1967, after our Leos fired Dave Scrien and subsequently named Jim Champion as Head Coach.

2. Willie Fleming

Willie 'the Wisp' Fleming is the greatest Leo who ever played in black and orange. He is a member of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame, the B.C. Lions Hall of Fame and a member of the B.C. Lions All- Time Dream Team.

Fleming was just an incredible player to watch play football. In 1963 Fleming rushed for over 1200 yards with a 9.7 rush average. That is not an error – 9.7 yds per rush. Mind blowing stat. Fleming was such a key player on our Leos first Grey Cup champion team.

3. Carl Kidd

Carl Kidd bled orange and black for our Leos as tough as nails linebacker who a punishing hitter and faster than most defensive backs. Carl Kidd played one season with two broken hands -that is how tough he was. Perhaps the greatest inspirational leader to play for our Leos, Carl Kidd was also an outstanding special teamer. Carl Kidd was a member of our 2006 Grey Cup Champions.

4. Korey Banks

Korey Banks is the best man coverage defensive back to ever play in the CFL. Banks played the game with a swagger and an attitude and he was highly regarded by his teammates for not only his talents but also his leadership. Korey Banks was a CFL West All Star every season from 2006-2012 as a Leo and for good reason. He had great anticipation skills, he was an excellent blitzer and opposing teams tested him at their peril.

5. Sean Millington

The 'Deisel' was a Leos fullback who ran for over 200 yds. in one CFL game. Now, that was a time period when the fullback position was utilized in the CFL to its fullest. Millington also was used often for the fullback screen pass. I still have memories of Millington rambling downfield like a breakaway locomotive on the fullback screen.

Millington was a two-time Grey Cup champion. In a season in which Millington rushed for 1010 yards on 156 carries, he was also named the Grey Cup's Most Valuable Canadian in leading our Leos to victory in the 88th Grey Cup game in 2000.
"When I went to Catholic high school in Philadelphia, we just had one coach for football and basketball. He took all of us who turned out and had us run through a forest. The ones who ran into the trees were on the football team". (George Raveling)

The list is for your favourite players, not necessarily the best players.
