Canada opened the tournament with a 5-3 victory over Russia. Canadian goalie Carter Hart looked weak in the net as he surrendered 3 long goals. He needs to improve his puck tracking if Canada hopes to win Gold.

Goal tending didn't do them any favours on that second PP goal. However, sometimes a loss is a good thing to remind players what it takes to be successful.

Canada trailing Czech Republic 1-0 after the 1st period on a lucky bounce. Puck deflected off the referee to a Czech player right in the slot.

After a horrendous start in which Canada surrendered 2 goals on 3 shots, Canada came back with a 5-2 victory over the favourites Sweden to advance to the Gold medal game tomorrow against the US. Awesome game. Goalie Carter Hart who replaced starter Ingram was solid in the Canadian net.

Canada lost in the shootout and thus have to settle for the Silver. They dominated the overtime but couldn't get the winner.
