Of those 22 division semi-final playoff games:
18 were in the west, 3 of them in the east when the Lions qualifed for the crossver, and 1 in the north with the 1995 reallignment.
Only 2 of them were at home.

Only 8 of them the Lions won.

With only a 8-14 record in division semi-final playoff games, it looks like the team is almost cursed.
Having said that, of the 8 division semi-final playoff wins, which do you think was the best? I'll comment on a few:
1977 and 1986 hosting the Winnipeg Blue Bombers
The only two times the Lions hosted the division semi-final, both times the Lions faced the Blue Bombers and both times the Lions won very narrow wins. In 1977 Leon Bright with caught 49-yard pass with 2:42 to capture the win. And in 1986 the Lions jumped to a 21-0 lead and then was forced to take a goal line stand with a fumble with the Blue Bombers threatening to tie the game in the late stages.
1994 and 2000 at Edmonton Eskimos
On their way to the championship, the Lions performed well at the Evil Empire in getting an early lead. In both cases, while the Eskimos fought back with the former getting the lead and the latter threatening to tie, it was clearly the Lions that were the better team.
1988 and 2008 at Saskatchewan Roughriders
Unlike last Sunday, the Lions built a lead and didn't look back with good defence.
2009 at Hamilton Tiger-Cats
With last Sunday, the Lions are level now at 1-1 with playoff overtime games.
So of these rare Lions Division semi-final wins, what do you think was the best? I'll say it was the 1988 one.
Of those 8 division semi-final wins, only in 3 of them did the Lions also win the division final to go to the GC game.
