I'm still cheering against Saskatchewan despite the fact that we can clinch a home playoff game with a Calgary loss. I don't want just another home playoff game, I want the home playoff game (ie - Western Final) and the more the 'Riders lose, the closer we get to that goal. Lose 'Riders Lose!

Calgary's got nothing to lose with a QB change....Smith looked brutal out there.

I think we can cheer for who we want in this game without worrying too much about how it affects what we can clinch.

Actually, I would rather see Ssk lose to give us some breathing room in 1st place. Cgy is, in all likelihood, not going to run the table and catch us. They only have to lose one more game... but it need not be this one.

I'd rather see Sask lose also....keep our cushion for 1st. Calgary likely won't be better than 3rd when all is said and done. Let them win one today. :wink:

Not looking too good for Calgary at this point, though. 19-7
The good news about a Riders win is:
1. Keeps the Lions on the edge, knowing they must keep the foot on the gas pedal for at least a couple of more weeks.

2. Lions clinch a home playoff game and can begin selling to the general public as early as this week if they wish. Sure it would be a TBA date and opponent but an extra week to sell for a potential big WF crowd is a good thing.

That should seal it for the 'Riders.

Nope, Stumps still have a good shot.

Hmmm, how would a tie help us? :)

Sankey looks like another good Buono selection as QB. :lol:

Smart move by the Stumps picking him up.

I was watching to see if the Green Pissant ran onto the field to:

* confront any opposing players

* challenge a coach

* try to feel like a warrior by hanging near the players

If he did, the camera did not show it.

Sankey gives the Stamps a credible 1-2 punch. Calgary has a tough schedule with back-to-back games against Winnipeg before finishing with Montreal and B.C., but Sankey at least gives them a chance to win if Burris isn't ready.
