8-2 final. Apparently the 'Tips didn't show up for this one. Now those poor Giants have to actually go on a real roadtrip with hotels and buses and everything. Toigo should start his annual "we wanna fly" rant any minute now.
If there's anything that might be in PG's favour it could be that the Giants start looking beyond remaining WHL playoff games and start thinking about the Memorial Cup and worrying more about staying healthy than winning games.

You gonna be around Dale?
Probably not Ken. I'm working in Oregon this week and scheduled to be here again next week. Probably going to hang around down here over the weekend or grab a flight to San Francisco to take in the other Giants.

If you do you better get onto Ticketmaster as soon as tickets go on sale. Sounds like it was a total sellout tonight. The bandwagon is full again. Back in 1997 when they went on an unexpected playoff run the locals were jamming Ticketmaster's lines all across Canada as they hit the WHL semi-finals and the games were selling out in a matter of minutes.LFITQ wrote:Hmmm might have to stay up in PG for the two games there on the 24th and 25th...

Im calling the Giants office to book 3 tickets for both PG games. Im gonna fly up Tuesday morning with my brother, we are gonna stay with family, and my little cousin is gonna come to the games with us. We are gonna be flying back thursday morning. All assuming the Giants can get me tickets, but I think cuz im a season ticket holder I have a pretty good chanceIf you do you better get onto Ticketmaster as soon as tickets go on sale. How about a trophy presentation picture again?
Tonight was a very bitter end to an otherwise excellent regular season by the Everett Silvertips in which they achieved the best regular season record at 54-15-3 for 111 points. Although it may be little consolation for them, the trophy they received is still a prestigious award nevertheless. The Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy is the equivalent of the NHL Presidents Trophy, awarded to the WHL team with the best regular season record. This is a picture of Jason Fransoo accepting the Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy on behalf of the Silvertips. The table in the background shows some individual award trophies.

Well Nick, it looks good to have so many Cougar supporters in Vancouver from this board.
Afterall, if you are a BC Lions fan you can't really cheer for the Giants over your beloved cats. Mountain Lion & Cougar = one in the same!
Have no worries fellow Mountain Cat fans, our Lions-by-a-different-name will pull it out over the Hockey-team-that-is-named-after-a-NY-football-team.
In fact I'm surprised that anyone in Vancouver can cheer for any team that has such connections to NY after all the crap that NY has done to Vancouver over the years.
Down with the Giants. Let's go cats!
