Hey Trooper I grew up in Cranbrook and I see that NVGUY hails from the Kootenays as well, nice to see the support of the Lions from the SE corner of the province.TROOPER wrote:Hey Lions Fans,
I'm 22, was born in the beautiful town of Invermere and now hail from Kamloops. Just completed my third year with a local firefighting contractor getting ready for my second year of sciences at UCC in Kamloops (embarrassed to say I never fought any local fires saw action in Wash State, Banff and Kootney parks however my younger brother was in Osoyoss, Falkland and Kelowna on our other strike team.) I have dreams of flying airliners for a living someday and recently completed my 200 hrs. for my basic commercial licence. I've been hooked on the CFL since watching my first game, the 1989 Grey Cup classic. Attended 98, 99, 00, and 02 Grey Cups with 00 being by far the best . Love taking road trips with my buddies to see the Lions and Canucks. I think that's about all except for I'm single and still live at home  .
LIONS FOREVER, Vince
I moved from Cranbrook to Calgary and lived ther for about 10 years and moved down here for the past 10 years. Grew up loving watching the CFL games, all of one of them per week at that time, I recall many rainy games at Empire that influenced the outcome on the games sometimes in our favor, but sometimes not. Super gald that the Lions have an indoor stadium, where the weather doesn't change the outcome of games. Although from what I have see here, most game nights have been good to great weather.
I didn't see my first live game until I was 18, and it was in Calgary in -30C weather with a cross wind that put the temp even lower, I learned after that game not to keep my feet on the concrete under the seats as man, were my feet frozen.
I make sure my family has the chance to see the games live as much as possible and have 4 children to very proud of. So the next generation of Lions fans are well under way.
Hope to see some of you at the tailgaters.
