OK, I am going to buy one or the other for my home from Costco.

The Bowflex is $1099.00 and has 65 exercise options.

The Smith Macine is $900.00 and has 35 options with 200+ lbs of weights

What are your thoughts?

I've never heard of the Smith Machine, so I looked it up. From what I read, the Bowflex seems to have received more positive reviews. I would think you'd be better off paying a little bit more and going with the Bowflex.

Frankly I'm not impressed with any of the home gyms. I prefer to go to the gym and work out there. The equipment is much better.

Agreed, TheLionKing. I do too. Although, if he has his own gym he can work out in his knickers or au naturel, if he so pleases. Ha!

Yep BBGirl and with his significant other that second option can bring a whole new level to "working out" ... 8)

(Good thing this is in the pub...)

Hmmm, brings a whole new meaning to push-ups and pull-downs.

I must suggest it to the wife.
