2004 Lions vs 2005 Lions, who wins and why?
Moderator: Team Captains
The teams would have some differences...CP vs DD with different backups. And they alos would have some major changes on the D between the two seasons. Now which team would win if they were playing each other?

2005. Look at their record.
were is the Ditka option
I own The Grey Cup! .com
2005 is better IMO. The offense doesn't really on Geroy that much this season as everybody is getting the ball. The D is improved a lot this year. Guys like Marsh and Young who were getting criticized are much better this year
ST is the reason that I gave the nod to 05 over 04.kamfan wrote:Defense is better, special teams is better, and the offensive package as a whole I think is better.
I still think CP of 04 would be more of a difficult O for the 05 than anything we have met so far this season though. So ST may be the difference in the end.

As mentioned ... defence and special teams much improved.
DD would also pick apart Arslanian's non-pressure defence.

The 2004 team would win because it would be Wally Buono and Steve Buratto vs Wally Buono and Jaques Chapelaine. Both OC's are gifted but the 2004 team has the offence that is required to stretch the 2005 defensive secondary. It would be interesting to say the least.

But throw the "30" defence at the ?04 team and watch them struggle, especially with CP at the helm.squishy35 wrote:The 2004 team would win because it would be Wally Buono and Steve Buratto vs Wally Buono and Jaques Chapelaine. They had all kinds of trouble with the Stamps and Argos where as this year's team is 4-0 against both and produced plenty of points in 3 of the 4 games.
Funny enough ... DD said on his show yesterday that the game plan against the Als was to stretch their defence with more deeper and intermediate plays.
But he said the Als did a nice job of jamming the receivers and he wasn't getting the time for the plays to develop.
Hence, they reverted back to the short stuff in the 2nd half and were a lot more effective.
