I think last years Offence with Printers was a lot more exciting, (not saying this season isn?t) cuz Dickenson doesn?t throw as many accurate Long Bombs. But I gotta go with 2005 as a better team.

I agree, last years team may have been a bit more exciting as far as Printers turning the city on etc,, but this 2005 team reminds me of the the Detroit Red Wings who turned a huge corner to become a great team in the late 90's, when every player on that team played an important role and it wasn't about who the stars were or individual stats. Everyone bought in to the team concept and I think this 2005 team has come together like that.

The 2005 version has found ways to win that I think the 2004 team wouldn't.
It is what it is.

I think the 2004 Lions' offense was a little scarier, but it all comes down to one thing for me: special teams. They're very, very good right now, and I think that's a first in Lion history.

Nothing -- literally -- annoyed me more as a fan in the mid-'90s than the inevitable "will he? will he go all the away?" EVERY freakin' kickoff and punt.

2005 is better, mostly because of Ritchie's defense, but I like Burrato's offense more than I like Chapdelaine's.

Overall, this year's team is much better.

As a fan that has to sit through the games, however, both are a definite treat.
Enough is enough.

I thought the 2004 offence was more explosive, based upon this point of each season. However the defence is better this year (forget the last two games) and the special teams are much better in 2005 as well.

Edge so far to the 2005 squad!!

After seeing Casey on Sunday, I'd say not 2004 or 2005 but a healthy Casey Printers. Man did he fly! :s:
