The Lions still have to remove three backups from the active roster but I don’t think there’s much doubt about who will be involved. The Lions have 23 Americans on the roster plus QB Michael Reilly, 21 nationals plus QB Nathan Rourke and 2 Globals. They need to remove three Americans by game day. Barring unexpected injuries, that will likely be RB James Butler, OL Kent Perkins and WR Keon Hatcher. That leaves 6 Americans and rookie national Court Hammond to rotate on the defensive line.

I think you will simply see 3 go onto the 1G injured list for either a legit minor ailment or a nagging hangnail injury. All teams currently show more than the limit on their active rosters. Riders have already declared their obvious 6G injuries and still have 49 on their active roster.
