Hamilton has been the class of the league all season, most of that with a rookie QB. I think their D is on par with the Bombers and their O is superior. While Collaros has been a bit of a tonic for the Bombers, I don't see that trend continuing as Defenses have had more time to see him on film. The Bombers won the west final basically on the strength of several Rider miscues. I don't see Hamilton making the same mistakes. So with that all said, I am going with the Cats in a rather low scoring affair. Ham 25, BB 18

First glance says Banks and Addison are going to be a handful. Cats have beat the Bombers twice by playing good football and not games decided by one play. They have Frankie Williams and Liram Hajrullahu. Good coaching. Watch for Jim Barker.

The Bombers have the luck of the Irish on their side and have dodged ten bullets to make it this far. It is as close as it has been for a long time. They have Andrew Harris.

Called it in the preseason that it comes down to a long Medlock field goal (54 yds). Would feel better if it was in a dome. Everyone is on their feet. Crazier things have happened. Bombers win.

53 years since they won two in a row.

From the superstition point of view.....

Back in 2011 after the EDF, I cursed the Blue Bombers by telling them that this will be the only trophy that they will get to carry:

And they were indeed cursed a week later in the Grey Cup.

It looks like they smartened up by not carrying that trophy this time.....albeit the trophy presented to them on Sunday was not the identical one from 2011.

I think this will be a close game, but I think the Tiger Cats will pull it out by less than 7 points.

Collaros is the Cinderella Man this year. Bombers by 7 points.

Collaros impressed early but he didn't run rough shod against the Riders. Bringing Stevler in just telegraphs the run option. At the end of the day we are talking about a QB that has only been with the team a few weeks and off for a large part of the year. There is a reason they play the game of course but the Bombers have been struggling off and on for awhile on offense. Harris hasn't looked quite as dominant either after the suspension so really if the Cats can get out to some kind of lead, the Bombers may have difficulty reeling them in. That is why I think the Cats are going to do it. They are the more complete team overall IMO.

I want the Bombers to win however this Ticats team looks unstoppable.

Simoni Lawrence - a stain on the CFL for his criminal hit on Collaros - will early on get Collaros out of the game and that might lead to a lop sided win for the 'Cats.

There is money on the line as well that serves as a motivator. Anyone know the numbers?

Bombers need to keep Dane Evans passing numbers down. 400 yds and he wins the outstanding player award. Collaros is hitting as well though. Darvin Adams needs to play like Bryan Burnham.

Still say it will somehow be close.

Looking over the depth-charts/rosters for the big game tomorrow, I'm aware of one local area kid dressing (back-up RB Maleek Irons from Chilliwack). I don't imagine he'll get many carries, if any, being listed in behind starter Tyrell Sutton, but who knows what OC Tommy Condell might have up his sleeve. Anyone know of any other West Coast or BC guys who'll be playing? Of course Andrew Harris had connections with the Island (Junior Football), but he's a Winnipeg lad.

Winnipeg DE Jonathan Kongbo is from Surrey. He played high school football and basketball at Holy Cross and played football at Tennessee, where he started at defensive end and linebacker. He was selected by the Bombers with the fifth overall pick in this year’s CFL draft.

Thought I'd slip this into our Grey Cup thread, since it relates.
I was just watching the new TSN-produced short (approx. 25 minutes) documentary on Andrew Harris.
Wow. He tells it straight, with intensity, just like one would expect. His life story.
For example, as an adolescent/teenager he spent several years living in a small-town (Steinbach, MB) trailer-park. Was the only black kid in school there. Often called the n-word.
Also, when he was playing with the Lions he was unaware that his biological father who he’d never known (finally connected in 2014 I think) was actually living just a couple blocks away from him and in fact worked at the Stadium. Neither of them had a clue.
Very complicated relationship with his mom (has lots of love for her, but so many secrets were kept).
One can see how all these things and circumstances made him mentally tough as he is.
This film was apparently just released after last week’s West Division Final, as I understand it.
Thought it worth sharing, in case others like me hadn't caught it before now.
