Jason Maas is a hothead. Small wonder his team leads the league in penalties

I thought this game started at 6.30 and when I found out it was in the 3rd quarter and Lions down 16 to 3 and Reilly was out of the game and season with broken wrist did not bother to sit down and watch. Why bother? They have no backup QB and better things to do then watch Lions die out there. I predicted they would lose this game even if Reilly was playing. Lions beat nobody. Yes they won 3 in a row but against the 2 worst teams in the league. It just masked the problems they had. Lions still need to make major changes in the offseason. And I don't expect them to win another game so likely they will finish 4 and 14. Someone has to take the fall for that and not just the players.
I've sen O'Brien since he was with Ottawa and has never shown anythng, not sure why he is still around and why we signed him... Fajardo couldve been our back up... stout effort by the D today, basically on the field the whole game...

And if Kraemer was on the roster how many reps would he have seen? Likely no more than the handful of snaps O'Brien has seen in his few garbage time appearances or a split of them. He never would have seen any meaningful playing time until BC was either eliminated or Reilly got hurt, whichever came first. As it turned out neither happened until tonight. Over the past 4 years being Reilly's backup has been like being backup to Tom Brady or Peyton Manning. You never get to put the clipboard down and the helmet on. I'd have to defer to Toppy for information on how Claybrooks distributes practice reps vs how Wally did. Wally was known to give a lot more practice reps to the backups than is the norm for most HCs.Kamloops Lion wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2019 4:37 pmThis is what many fans had been fearing. Reilly out and no real backup developed. We have Danny O’Brien, O’Reilly’s butler, when Kramer should have been given reps this year to prepare for something like this. Inexcusable. #
Going back to the start of the 2016 season Reilly's backups have attempted 55 passes with 28 of them coming in last game of the 2016 season when Reilly was given the night off. In the 68 games Reilly has started over that same time period backups have but 27 pass attempts.
In 2016 Franklin and Lynch who combined for 28 passes in the season finale and only 2 in the other 17 games.
In 2017 Franklin attempted 19 scattered across 3 appearances, 12 in a blowout loss to the Riders, 2 in the close LDC rematch when the Injury Spotter pulled Reilly for a series and 5 in a blowout win over Montreal. Whoever was 3rd string in 2017 didn't attempt a pass.
In 2018 O'Brien had 5 attempts, 4 in a garbage time in a blowout loss to Winnipeg. Kevin Glenn who was actually considered the #2 didn't take a single snap all year.
This year in BC O'Brien had 7 attempts in garbage time in 3 blowouts. Kraemer getting all or a portion of those reps wouldn't make him any more capable of leading BC to the playoffs than he already is.
You're as old as you've ever been and as young as you're ever going to be.
