Listening to the Post Game Show on the radio. All of them suggesting Hervey was angry on the sidelines and may need to knock on someone's office door meaning fire a coach and if you read between the lines they are suggesting it should be Taylor A. They say this is a professional football and it is time to make some hard decisions.

They are saying that this year the NFL cuts they bring in likely will play in games to evaluate them unlike previous years. They say playoffs will not happen and it is time to identify which players and coaches they will bring back and this year NFL cuts will likely play this year because Lions are out of it.

They say best players on defence were Shawn Lemon, Junior Luke and David Menard.

What do the coaches do at half time ? Do they go out for a hamburger and a beer ? They certainly aren't making any meaningful adjustments.

Newly acquired David Menard and Shawn Lemon were the Lions’ best defensive linemen. Menard led all linemen with three tackles. Lemon had two sacks and a forced fumble. It says a lot about the players who have been with the team since training camp.

There are so many aspects of this team that need to be fixed, it's difficult to know where to start. If it's not an overmatched offensive line, it's a porous defensive line. If it's not bad tackling, it horrible special teams coverage.

Inexperienced coaching, failures to adjust at half time,....poor personnel decisions (Carter, Boyko, Chung, Willis).... zero US based recruitment from Tory Hunter....etc.

Ladies and gentlemen.....these are OUR 2019 B.C. Lions.

Had a hard time watching Willis laughing on the sidelines of a 1-8 team and he hasn't made a play in about 10 months.

Fans dumping on Duron Carter who brought fans off the sofa with a terrific 56 yard pass to Lamar Durant is nuts. That could have been a game changer but for the kick off return.

Three Comments:

1. This season comes down to GM Ed Hervey decisions to put too much money into the QB leading to:

* deciding not to re-sign Sol E who could provide both skill and leadership to the entire DEF as he's doing for the Riders now.

* dumping $160,000 Special Team players who play 4 or 5 plays leading to the worst kick cover team I've ever seen in BC.

2. There needs to be some realignment in the coaching responsibilities including:
> more evidence that play calling in the game has input from other Jarius Jackson who again got in a rut tonight.

> maybe not firing Altilio but give that role to someone else.

3. The HC has yet to establish a winning culture in this team. He has to be clearer what it is.

4. There are some good coaches here including Nik Lewis who's a teacher and who can do more for this team including Play CALLING or leading STs

Farhan believes Hervey let Claybrooks do it his way by hiring coaches he felt comfortable to work with and was a mistake for it is not a good coaching staff. He believes if Hervey decides to keep Claybrooks he will insist to him now they will do things his way and will get rid of his entire staff and hire more experienced coaches. Whether that process begins earlier who knows.

He also believes once the NFL cuts begin there will be an airlift of players in and an airlift of players out.

Burns and Farhan agreed Hervey made the wrong choice keeping Willis over Lemon for Willis is close to Hervey. Willis had just 1 tackle tonight.

Burns believes scheme is a problem with the defence not just lack of talent.

Both agree Lions half time adjustments are not being made or if they are not working for getting killed in the 4th quarter every game.

Lions off now for 9 days will be interesting what may happen now.

NFL playing 2nd exhibition games now and after them cuts may start to happen.

DeVone Claybrooks stands alone on the sidelines with his mouth agape looking completely bewildered.....like someone kidnapped from another planet and dropped onto a football field. Sheesh.

Training camp seemed like a country club. He seemed to me to be trying too hard to be one of the boys instead of the boss.

Its very odd, when reilly drops back if his first look isnt there, he stands, there, does move looking for something more, he knows his line is weak, he has to start moving around or just throw it away... i cant remember the last time he threw a ball away to get a 2nd and 10 instead od 2nd and longer....not blaming him but he has to make smart choices too.. problems all around....
amazing how upon actually taking the lead (albeit by a point) they immediately collapse.... they staff top to bottom isnt working, but addressing a player or two isnt working.... making no major changes even for the rest of the year shows the management doesnt care, so why should the fans....

It was mentioned in the post game that Ed Hervey stood on the sidelines the entire game with his arms folded seething at what he's seeing.

Reilly is trying to carry the team on his back. Maybe he's trying too hard, but he is far from the problem. His approach may be leading to a few more sacks, but the qb protection is a mess. Also, Burnham and Durant are the only two receivers who can get open and make plays.

from the opening kick when they tried to kick away from Grant and ended up giving winnipeg great field position to the 2 PT saftey at the end of the half, the coaches showed no confidence in their players (ST and DEF), so why would the players play for them... its a shambles...
