Three man slide

It sounds like you mean this:

Posters who go to watch training camp/practices can say if this is employed at the pro level. (I would think it's more common at high school/college level, but with the restrictions on contact now, maybe it has more value in the pros too).

Google is your friend.
I found this. Tough to get much more detailed than this.

Lost my reply as my internet is acting weird today.
Basically it's jargon for what HS teams often do - just block the gaps - versus the pros where they have film and experienced pros who have complex blocking schemes as they anticipate who's coming on the blitz and from where in 3 and 4 man DEF fronts.
Whoever suggested this to you is likely suggesting that the Lions simplify as this current crop are too experienced and focused on guessing is leading to indecision and missed blocks. I think they need better personnel as other teams aren't really doing that much that isn't known and BC now can't handle a 4 man front with 5 men.
The links here note that the 3 man slide employs extra blocking with a TE in place. That is missing and only somethings is BC using the FB Mackie to aid in blocking whereas teams like the Bombers employ Harris deeper by the QB on some plays to block or move out after a fake block to take a pass. BUT Harris is used in many different ways unlike BCs RB which is laughable.
BC has to put in place more blockers and get better personnel as a group.
