They should have taken the field goal on their second last possession rather than giving it up on downs. Another FG on the last drive would have tied it, rather than forcing them to take it 100 yards downfield for a TD. As it was, they nearly pulled it off anyway.

No. Go for the win when the ball is in your hands. There was no guarantee that the Argos would even get the ball back with only 1:40 remaining and Montreal playing two stud running backs. Even though Toronto did ultimate get another possession, they were able to get big chunks because Montreal was defending against a TD.

Brett Lauther's last play field goal gives the Riders a 19-17 win over the Blue Bombers. The win moves Saskatchewan to 2 points to the first place Winnipeg.

That was a good game despite the low score in the 2nd half.

Both DEF came to play hard and while I had no horse in the race, it was nice to see former Lion get a W. Craig Dickenson like Khari Jones is n't looking out of place as a HC. Funny how situations like both found themselves normally turn out bad for these guys. Now it looks good for both of them.

The only thing negative was hearing the term "walk off" field goal. Not sure I've heard that term in football and it's kind of stupid.

Two Ticats tossed with score at 8 to 8 at 6:17 left to play in Q1. Now it's 11-8 for Argos.
Frankie Williams and Adeleke.

I had hoped no one would get tossed.

Wilder had been blocking Simoni L and kind of wouldn't let him up it seemed BUT it might have been Lawrence holding him... not sure. Nothing happened to Wilder so Argos laughing.

It's a battle. Clearly the players got the message to any newbies how big labour day is for their team.

As I said last week, the Argos are a much better 1-win team than our Lions.

If Argos win this Lions will officially be the worst team in the CFL with just 1 win and not favoured to beat Montreal.

Add Coleman to the long list of ex Lions that are playing well.

Perhaps a trade that has helped both? BC's pressure on the QB still needs work but it's been much better since the trade and has helped produce turnovers. In just 2 games Lemon has taken over the team lead in sacks with 3 passing Willis and the departed Coleman who were tied with 2. Neither of them had registered a sack since Week 4.

In the 8 games prior to the swap BC had 7 sacks and 4 interceptions.
In the 2 games since the trade BC has 4 sacks and 4 interceptions.

Marcel Desjardins with among the worst GM decisions in recent history but letting so many key offensive players go in free agency with Harris at the top of the list. From a Grey Cup finalist to a disaster in one season.

Hopefully doesn't send one of the league's best run franchises in a downward spiral.

Can't count Ottawa out completely yet. They are 3 wins back of Montreal, but play the Lions twice in a row while the Als play Saskatchewan and Winnipeg. Could go down to the final game of the year in which the teams play each other.

The biggest loss for the Redblacks IMO was Elizondo. Paopao as OC isn't in the same league.

It's official, with the Argo win, the Lions are dead last in the league. We're number 9 !
