The fact that the home opener Is at 4 p.m. on a Saturday at the end of the school year could help draw a family-friendly crowd. I’ve noticed more parents have been bringing their kids to games since the Lions introduced kids’ pricing but the number of kids is always much bigger for 4 p.m. games than the usual 7 p.m. starts. This is a great opportunity. I hope the marketing department can capitalize on it. A big opening-night crowd, even if it includes thousands of non-paying kids, can go a long way to changing the narrative around the team.
