Riders should send the Lions a big thank you. Rich Stubler for not making adjustments thus allowing the Riders to win and the Lions knocking out Calgary's two starting defensive tackles.lion24 wrote:Looks like the Riders are being handed the Grey Cup this year.........puke
Ok...it's bad enough watching a WDF without the Lions, but do they have to keep torturing me with that annoying Wendy's ad? That's just cruel.

5th turnover. Unbelievable !
Calgary failed to put a credible patchwork D on the field after 2 weeks of preparation, and the absence of Marquay McDaniel (and Nik Lewis, also courtesy of the Lions in August) is costing them big-time.TheLionKing wrote:Riders should send the Lions a big thank you. If that goal-line fumble hadn't happened, this game would be over. I still don't think the Stamps can come back, might as well put Tate in there.

It's as if the Stamps have never played in the cold before.almo89 wrote:Hold the ball with 2 hands! Jeez
And they just had a chance to pick one off but Fraser dropped it. Lucky the ensuing FG was blocked.
Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

No yards called on a blocked kick?
I think they treat it like a punt once it crosses LOS.Coast Mountain Lion wrote:No yards called on a blocked kick?

Nice block by Tate on that Cornish gallop.
