xtra

Well, just to introduce my self i am xtra. long time lover of sports in Vancouver (about ten years) but with first the Canucks and then the Grizzilies i never really got into football. But for the last 4 seasons(or is it 3?)Since the allen led lions won after being 8-10(?) i have been following the lions and been looking for a place to talk football and hear some news about the Lions. The papers don't do enough coverage so i hope that i can find some good discussions to help me learn more about football (know the rules but not the play calls such as a 3-4 defense ) and the lions in particular. I figured i should learn more becasue the NHL has lost a fan who won't be buying tickets anymore but will spend the money on the football team in town.

Welcome, xtra.

I think a lot of us feel cheated by what happened between the NHL and its union; luckily, not only are the Lions and the CFL a bargain, they offer the best entertainment one could ever ask for. It is a great product, and deserves the respect and support of fans like you.

Looking forward to meeting you at TC or the first few home games of 2005.
