I was saddened to learn of the death of former Lions' OL and 2011 Grey Cup champion Jon Hameister-Ries at age 37. He had the talent to build a long career at guard but injuries cut his career short.

Very sad to learn about this. He was a talented guard and, as I understand, a skilled chef.

Way too young to leave us.

RIP.

Yes I remember seeing him as a contestant on the Canadian version of MasterChef back in 2015. His West End restaurant, Meat City, closed in 2017.

I agree--37 years old is way too young. RIP
