I agree with those that say there is still a bias in favour of Caucasians in Canadian culture.
One example ... When they talk about "visible minorities." I would say it is evident who makes such a statement (about people of some colour): white people. And yet with the changing demographics, in many cases, white people are the "visible minority," although still dominating in government and business.
Maybe on one those questionnaires, next time I will check the box that says "visible minority," even though I happen to be labelled "white," from my Scottish/Irish ancestry. In many parts of Vancouver, I am clearly a "visible minority."
