First Rick Rypien, now Pavol Demitra in a list of ex-Canucks who passed away recently. :bawl:

Pavol Demitra (November 29, 1974 – September 7, 2011)

The highlights of his career would be winning the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy in 2000 and being selected for the all-star game three times. Despite being the leading scorer of the 2010 Olympics, he couldn't win a medal.

A large tragedy for so many that have come to know many of those players/coaches, but hopefully there can be some good to come of it. The Russian airlines are running at 13 times the rate of the rest of the world when it comes to crashes, I can only think the high profile of this crash will lead to some modifications that have been needed for some time.

RIP all.
