Re: Buck's shoulder
http://www.nationalpost.com/sports/story.html?id=621702 Lowell's update on the shoulder situation. This article hopefully clears up any ridiculous talk of Buck Pierce being anything other than one tough football player. In retrospect, who'd have thought that Rob Murphy would let Freeman get that kin...

Re: Buck's shoulder
People aren't going to like this but I'm finding that Pierce is off injured for some portion of games he plays. He seems to always be somewhat dinged up and is becoming a glass QB. Gritty but never seems to be totally healthy. According to the HC this is not true. He addressed this issue on 1040 ye...

Re: Clermont?
I think that type of play calling has to be looked at by the HC this week. Don't forget the players (some receivers) wanted JC back but maybe they will have to re-think the crossing patterns to keep JC healthy and for success. What is odd is that last year's innovations seem to have disappeared in t...

Re: Lions Vs Calgary Post Mortem
I didn't know the BC fans were so fickle! I know that it was a poorly played game, but most of these comments are ridiculous. I have to say I was a terrible game plan, but we just flat out got outplayed. On a positive note, when they allowed us to go vertical our passing game was easy. One to Geroy...

Re: BRING BACK CASEY PRINTERS !!!
I'm sick of this whole QB situation. Tell Dickenson to fart off and we got two QBs now that each are not good enough to get us to Montreal. Make a trade for Casey Printers. Casey is wasting his time in Hamilton, but put him in front of a talented receiving core like the Lions have and Casey will ma...

Re: LIONS DEFENCE? THE OFFENCE WAS A NO SHOW
I say this once. The lions will not succeed with Doriazio as Offense Co-ordinator. Poor playcalling, poor gameplan...it is second and 7 yards to go...they run a route that is 5 yards how stupid...they didnt even try to to strech the calgary Defence... Oh ya the offensive line what a poor job...Dean...

Re: Race in Football
Blitz from another thread: 3) BUCK GETTING HURT EARLY IN THE SEASON My major reason for wanting to start the season with Jarious was to ease Buck in there so he could knock some rust off, give his shoulder more time to strengthen, and reduce his reps until Champion got more adjusted to the CFL game...

Re: Race in Football
The latest Canuck draft who is East Indian has said he wants to be a good role model in his community just like Bobby Singh has said when he was with BC Lions. The CFL hasn't much used ethnic marketing and Wally himself it is not something he has considered. Where they have thought of it is in the E...

Re: 2008 SEASON OPENER: Lions/Stamps Game Day Thread
The tackling was absolutely brutal out there. I lost track of how many times they had a guy in the grasp and let him get away. The defense picked it up a little bit with the turnovers in the 2nd half, but there were far to many missed tackles and wide open receivers tonight. The offense didn't help...

Re: 2008 SEASON OPENER: Lions/Stamps Game Day Thread
I got a business call that distracted much of the second half but I don't agree with the QB change as a precaution. Buck had just got us a TD with two awesome passes and then they get impatient and want a bomb to end the half and let the no. one guy cool off when he was doing just fine. BP was 9/14 ...

Re: 2008 SEASON OPENER: Lions/Stamps Game Day Thread
Well we cooled off our starting QB nicely. Strange.
But the score suggests this game can be won. The pressure shifts to the Stamps if the O can ignite again and get some jump on them and some points!!! Game not over yet.

BP back in but now he is has sat to get cooled off. Again, coaching decision that was n't smart given his finish to the half!! He will get back in rhythm but he should have kept playing

Re: 2008 SEASON OPENER: Lions/Stamps Game Day Thread
They clearly missed the memo. Why oh why did BP have to get hurt, he was in the zone. Radio is saying it was precautionary. But i wonder why he is out of the game too but not due to injury due to coaching decision which puts the hot guy on the bench and the cold QB on the field and not able to move...

Re: 2008 SEASON OPENER: Lions/Stamps Game Day Thread
Javy Glatt - What kind of tackle is that??? Yikes. Burris would have been down at the 43 instead they get to miss a FG at the 32. Right now the opportunity is to shift the pressure to the Stamps as they haven't taken that much advantage of BCs poor play and BC is right in right in this 18 to 11 Don'...
