Re: Eskimos vs. Lions Game Day Thread

It seems a sort of 'pigskin poetry' has been created, thanks to you fellows -- i.e. Blitz and David!
"Ride and decide
huck and chuck
read and speed
scheme and dream."
Love it! Made my day! Dream (and scheme) on!

Re: Leos/Red Blacks Post Game Thoughts

Just thought I'd chime in, giving credit where credit is due, for Craig 'Death' Roh -- if my aging eyes weren't deceiving me it was our #93 who, in the act of tackling opposing QB Harris as he attempted to follow through on that last pass, hurried Harris and turned Harris's body just enough so that ...

Re: All-Canadian (National) B.C. Lions Dream Team

I'll hereby submit my personal preference for 'football reporter' category -- Mike Beamish. I much appreciate his writing style, and while he does write about other sports (i.e. is not solely a football reporter) he's pretty darn savvy about the game and the team IMO.

Re: All-Canadian (National) B.C. Lions Dream Team

Love it -- that you selected Homer. You'd have broken my sentimental old heart if Sonny H. had not made the cut. And anyhow, anybody that played this hard-hitting game with only one kidney is a first-line hero in my book. Thanks for the list and all the wonderful memories it stirred. (Funnily, back ...

Re: Welcome back Courtney Taylor!

Sorry about that fellows -- I misread that -- they had the two players' names on the same line and I didn't pay close enough attention to the punctuation. btw, you can get this info if you go to the Leo's website and at the "Team" drop-down menu (in which they list Roster, and Coaching Sta...

Re: Welcome back Courtney Taylor!

Just a heads up that Damaris Johnson was signed away from our practice roster by Tampa Bay Bucs. (I'm guessing that's why they picked up C Taylor).

Re: Nicknames

Yes, B.C.Fan, delightful thought -- or, additionally Team 100 plus Purifoy (#0) could be considered as 100 + 0 = Team 1000! (That is, if you're willing to be visual rather than mathematical... Cheers.

Re: Uniform Poll Question - Reebok or Adidas?

Indeed, eh? Thanks Hambone. A humorous and humbling reminder that the guys are a cut (several cuts) above any of us in this regard! But thanks for the thoroughly thought-through practical-minded consideration of the whys and wherefores concerning the jersey variables. A lot of common sense in that. ...

Re: Uniform Poll Question - Reebok or Adidas?

Greetings! I'm new here (so far as posting is concerned) however I've many times over the past couple years enjoyed following the often lively back and forth of the learned gentlemen of Lionbackers.com. It (the exchanges) can remind me at times of how the contests of our beloved game tend to go -- s...
