Re: Jonathon Kongbo traded to Hamilton for conditional pick
Moj just said on "Lions on Tap" on AM730 that if people knew what those close to the Lions know about "what happened" that no one would disagree with the Lions decision to get rid of Kongbo. He didn't elaborate on what exactly happened.

Re: Doman not taking his foot off the gas - 2 day Backyard Party
LL Cool J is actually a great pick. He’s not an artist that a lot of people in Vancouver would rush to see, but as an opening act for the home-opener he ticks a lot of boxes. He’s got big name recognition, he will be a great hype man for the Lions, and with only a short set list a lot of people will...

Re: June 1, 2023: Preseason Calgary at BC - Game Day Thread
Noticed Calgary didn't even play Jake Maier. We got no looks for next week. I was surprised Maier didn't get a few series. He was terrible in the first pre-season game. You'ld think Dickie would want him to get a bit of work in before the season starts. Or maybe not playing him was supposed to send...

Re: Who will be moving on?
It almost sounded like Prukop is coveting a chance to play and run an offense as an important development tool towards a career goal of being a coach. Winnipeg has developed a culture where players want to play there and stay there. Even though he admits there are no promises or guarantees with New...

Re: Argofans offline?
Some people are questioning MBT giving up more money in the CFL to sign a USFL contract, but I think it's worthwile gamble. MBT is not an NFL rookie (he played part of 1 season for San Francisco) so he's not subject to the NFL rookie contract minimum and contract length (4 years). So teams don't hav...

Re: Who will be moving on?
Is Davis an upgrade over Pipkin or is about $$? I can't imagine there being much difference between the two in $$. Maybe it gets down to both Campbell and Adams having familiarity AND a level of comfort working with Davis that they didn't have with Pipkin? I don't think there is much difference bet...

Re: Who will be moving on?
Davis is a decent replacement for Pipkin as a short yardage guy, but is definitely not a back up who could take over with any confidence that he'd be successful if VA goes down. At this point I don't think there is a bonafide backup available. Maybe the plan is to watch and see if anyone in the XLF ...

Re: Montreal Back Under League Control
Good the CFL didn't let this go on any longer. From the time Stern walked away from "the estate" and later came crawling back it was obvious that the ownership situation was a bleep-show.

Re: Western Final Nov.13: BC at Winnipeg
That was a "learning process" game. For the first time in his very young career, Rourke didn't play beyond his years. Growing pains that will pay dividends. If Rourke is back in 2023 (I think the odds are better now) the Lions should be the favourites to win the Grey Cup next season. Don't...

First time I haven’t been thrilled to see the opposition put their second string QB in the game.

Moments from kick off. I haven’t felt this way (a mix of nervous and excited) since 2011.

Smart move by Pipken to deliberately touch the pylon with the ball so there could be no doubt he was in.

Back in the day this is when Chapdelaine would abandon the running game and we’d lose. Don’t miss him one bit. Ever.

Re: Lions vs Elks Oct 21
Edmonton has been slowly trending in the right direction lately. Tre Ford might be the catalyst to help a very mediocre team play a very good game. Definitely not a guaranteed win night for the Lions. Especially as Edmonton has not won a home game since they were called the Eskimos THREE years ago! ...

We wouldn't beat Saskatchewan today. Maybe not even Ottawa. The worst quarter the Lions have played since 2021.
