Re: COVID-19 : How it could impact Lions/CFL
Do you guys think anyone will go to a football game this July? It's become evident what a low priority these types of events are, regardless of the economic impact. I would think that the social distance warriors will be out in full force, ready to shame those even thinking about going to a game, ev...

Re: COVID-19 : How it could impact Lions/CFL
So if we lose the season, can the CFL even survive? I have a hard time thinking this virus can destroy a league that's been around for a hundred years. But I also don't know how it fares with a possible lost season, and then reduced attendance thereafter. Let's hope things get back to normal soon! M...

Fire Claybrooks now? No way he's the coach next year, so why wait?
At this point it doesn't matter who you replace him with. Hervey should be uncomfortable as well.

Is Hervey always on the sidelines? Or is this a message?

Thankfully the NFL season starts soon. I can't watch this any more. Bad CFL football is like a fat chick with a bad attitude.

Good points made about not knee jerking. If you can't improve something, then not much you can do. Holding pattern for now. There needs to be one or two horrible teams in every league, just as there are inevitably dominant teams. I guess it's our turn to be that really bad team.

You know it's a bad season when your best game is a loss.

Re: Worst lions gm ever?
Not sure who exactly this was directed towards, but Milt Steagle on the tsn broadcast tonight: "Something needs to change with that bc lions organization." Pretty cutting words if you ask me. And hard to argue. I'm not excited about going to any more games... Even as a hardcore season tick...

Re: Attendance Predictions - Lions and Riders, July 27
Regarding the early start. This was the one night that it was a good thing. Fireworks night, and a concert at the Rog. No thanks. Happy to get out of dodge by 7.

Re: Attendance Predictions - Lions and Riders, July 27
I think we might see the lowest turnout to a riders matchup in some time. Announced might be decent, butts in seats another matter.
Announced: 20,500
Actual: much lower

Re: How to attract Fans back to the BC Lion games?
The concert has to be the reason for the roof closure. However, they could have just prepared a stage that has cover in the event of a shower. If they can have half time shows at other outdoor stadiums, they can do it here. Whatever the reason, it's not a good one. The roof needed to be open, period...

Re: How to attract Fans back to the BC Lion games?
I suppose we are stuck with bc place. The league just isn't lucrative enough to warrant something purpose built. Closing off the upper section has helped a bit. But they keep shooting themselves in the foot. Roof closed last night! At least turn on the air conditioning! It was muggy and sticky in th...

Re: Stampeders 36 - Lions 32 -- Post-Game Comments
Bad teams lose like that. 0-3 hurts, but this really hurts. Not what you need when you're clawing for a playoff spot. I just hope they snap out of it, for no better reason than it would suck to attend meaningless games as early as September. Coaching appears to be a problem, as usual. The only posit...

Re: 2018 All Things Lions Marketing & Promotions
I can't complain too much about the Lions promotions and marketing. I received a message from Bosco a couple hours ago. While neither of us have received official confirmation from the club it appears from the link on their website that he and I account for 2 of the 3 winners of today's draw on the...
